Efficiency Maine Features Home Performance in its Green Home Makeover Show

Efficiency Maine is the sole sponsor of a half-hour show on WPXT-TV and WPME-TV featuring an energy-efficiency makeover of a local family's home.

Tune in to watch host John Marshall and Efficiency Maine's Dick Bacon (MaineHP's Program Manager), Dick Fortier and Lotte Schlegel oversee the installation by local contractors of a solar hot water system, energy-efficient lighting and appliances, green insulation and more!  As the final step to make the home "carbon-free," clean energy supply was donated to offset all remaining carbon emissions for one full year.

The MaineHP Go Green Expo

Over 1,000 individuals attended the "Go Green Expo" in Topsham, Maine on Saturday, November 10th. Throughout the day, Maine Home Performance spoke with many homeowners who are interested in making their homes healthier, more comfortable and more energy efficient...and in learning how home improvements can reduce their carbon footprints.

Maine Home Performance Launches Marketing Campaign

Office of Energy Independence Launches Maine Home Performance with Energy Star (Whole House) Residential Energy Efficiency Program

WESTBROOK - Governor Baldacci’s Office of Energy Independence and Security officially launched the Maine Home Performance with Energy Star whole house efficiency program (Maine HP) today for York, Cumberland, Androscoggin and neighboring counties. Maine HP provides homeowners one stop shopping and access to certified Evaluators who will not only provide a state of the art energy audit, but also make the necessary recommended home improvements, and provide easy access to financing.
